With a normal climate, range degradation is minimal, which is a small advantage, but the sheer scale of Istanbul's population density and traffic congestion makes relying on public chargers impractical for routine commuting or errands. The city is not designated as a glamour EV city, and the absence of estimated EV registrations suggests adoption is nascent. For daily driving, residents would likely need home charging or face significant wait times at the few available stations, making the current network inadequate for widespread electric vehicle use.
