For residents, the station count implies severe range anxiety, as the sparse infrastructure cannot support reliable charging for routine commutes or errands. The hot climate further compounds the issue, as high temperatures can reduce battery efficiency and increase energy consumption for cabin cooling, demanding more frequent charging stops. Without a single estimated EV in the city, the infrastructure is essentially nonexistent for practical use. The planned routes may eventually facilitate intercity travel, but for now, Hyderabad’s readiness for daily EV driving remains critically low, requiring a massive expansion of local stations to match its population and climate demands.
