Manaus, with a population of 2.22 million, has only two charging stations and zero planned routes, making EV use effectively impractical for daily driving. The hot climate reduces battery range, compounding the problem of sparse infrastructure. Without a single route connecting the city to other destinations, long-distance travel is impossible, and even local driving depends on those two stations, which are insufficient for a metro area of this size. The estimated EV count of zero reflects this reality: Manaus is not an EV-ready city. For residents, the lack of chargers and routes means that owning an electric vehicle would require constant home charging and preclude trips beyond the city limits. Until investment in charging networks and route planning arrives, Manaus remains a challenging environment for electric mobility.
